The past 2 weeks we've been ordering left and right everything to do with candy!
Lonny is in charge of our favor table.
To make it "easy" we chose to give our guests CANDY!
Who doesn't like candy?
I got this sweet (haha) idea from this Pinterest pin!
And thus bloomed the idea a candy buffet would be a great idea.
We started earlier this week Lonny utilized the 40% off (1 item) coupon from Michael's and started buying the containers that will hold the candies.
Always wanted to collect these apothecary jars but couldn't bring myself to spend money on them until now.
We'll go back each week with a new 40% off coupon until enough jars are collected.
And after the wedding I'll re-use these to decorate the house.
~~~ Decorating The Table ~~~
I'm still in search for an inexpensive tassel banner like the candy table.
CONFETTISYSTEM has one I adore however do not want to spend $130.
Once found I will drape it above the favor table.
I'll attempt to make these pom pom (different sizes) balls to hang above the table.
Was thinking of a light yellow, blush and beige colors.
Still working on the table layout but it will involve a light yellow table cloth & different sized gold confetti.
In front of this table will sit a rustic burlap banner from Etsy seller: YourDivineAffair to drape across the table.
Each guest will fill their own baggies that says "How Sweet Love Is".
~~~ THE SWEETS ~~~
Today we ordered almost 200 lbs of candies!!!
We wanted an assortment of soft & hard fruit candies, fun-house, whimsical, old fashion candy sticks and chewy and sour candies to choose from.
Crossing our fingers but we hope we ordered enough.
CHEWY
- Raspberry, Cherry Cola, and Passion Fruit Taffy-
SOURS
- Berry, Apple, and Margrita Fruit Sours -
HARD CANDIES
- Sour Rock Candy Crystal Sticks -
- Assorted Flavors of Dum Dums -
- Mini Twister Pops -
OLD FASHION CANDY STICKS
- Passion Fruit, Tutti-Fruitti, Tangerine, Lemon, Pina Colada, and Watermelon -
SOUR
- Lemon Drops -
CHOCOLATE
(Our only chocolate)
- Gold Foiled Chocolate Balls -
Can you sense a yellow & gold theme?
I didn't want the entire table to be filled with those colors. It would be too blah.
Instead I wanted it to look like a fun burst of colorful candies.
I'm hoping this is enough candy.
I'm a visual person so I'll know once we receive all the candy.
Crossing my fingers the candy sticks arrive in tact and not broken.
Still working on the reception decoration as well as the arbor where we'll get married.
For now I'm content with almost finishing the candy buffet.
Have you ever attended an event with a candy table?
If so, what are your thoughts?
