Our Wedding Party & Little Gifts

I'm working a little backwards because I don't have all the pictures from our wedding yet.
A few pictures have been sent to me from friends & family that I will share down the road.

For now this blog post is dedicated to our friends & family who helped make our wedding happen.

-- Our Wedding Party --

Long ago Lonny and I decided we wanted one special person each to stand up with us.
We toyed around with the idea of having a wedding party and ultimately decided we wanted our friends & family to have FUN!
Not feel obligated to spend money, help plan, or have any type of wedding duties.

For him he chose his Dad, Dave.
There was no one else that Lonny could see to fill the position of Best Man but his Father.
He's been a constant confidant, teacher, and someone Lonny has always been able to tell everything to.
They have an amazing father/son relationship and can clearly see where Lonny gets his personality & humor from.

For me, it was a bit hard as I have 3 amazing best friends, but ultimately picked Christine.
I'm not going to lie it definitely was hard to choose and didn't want to hurt any ones feelings.
But Christine had been there from the beginning when I met Lonny, so it was fitting for her to stand with me while I married him.
This picture above fits both our personalities to a T.
Always silly and always laughing!

While we didn't have bridesmaids or groomsmens; we did have a mini wedding party to walk down the isle.
Our nieces & nephews!

As I'm the only child I chose my other best friends (who is like a sister - hence her children referring to me as Auntie) children - Gianna, Logan and Cameron.

And because we are extremely close with his step siblings; we chose both his step sisters Brita & Liz' children as well.

Frankie & Vinnie

Haven (I don't have a current picture of her) & Curren

And of course I can't forget the two most important people in my life growing up.
My parents!
I asked both my Dad and Mom to walk me down the isle.

With that being said, after our rehearsal at the venue on Sept 6th.
A gorgeous view of the restaurant/spa at the golf course.

Shortly after we met at a restaurant for dinner.
Our wedding party as well as immediate family attended.
It was nice to spend some quality time with our parents and families as well as our families to get to know each other.
After dinner Lonny and I wanted to give our wedding party a little gift to say thank you and show our appreciation of their love.

I tried to find gifts that had meaning.

The Girls: Gianna, Frankie and Haven were gifted a dainty gold heart necklace to wear day of wedding.

Seller found on Etsy: YQY Jewelry
However, I just noticed her store has been closed until she's done writing her dissertation.
I hope she returns because she has such adorable jewelry.

The boys each got something different.
I knew Logan had been eyeing the Hulk costume from the Disney Store for months.
So one day I picked it up in his size and found an extra large bag.
I think this was my favorite to gift.
I could not wait to see his face when he opened the bag.
Sure enough it was priceless. I only wish I snapped a pic!
He could not wait to get home and put it on.

Vinnie has been into skateboarding so I went to the Vans skate shop and picked him up a gift card.
Curren & Cameron both were gifted Old Navy gift cards.

The Dads!
Since they were in the wedding we gifted them their Oxford French Cuff dress shirts, yellow ties and each Dad got a special cuff link to fit their personalities.

Lonny picked out a Steel Star Wars Imperial Insignia cufflink for his Dad.
It's fitting as Dave took him to see his very first Star Wars movie.
Seller found on Etsy: Sudlow

I had a harder time trying to figure out what type of cuff links to get my Dad.
I wanted something with meaning.
He's not a huge sports fan.
Doesn't have many hobbies other than gardening.
So I kept browsing Etsy and ended up stumbling across these cuff links!
Seller found on Etsy: jerseymaids
The picture cuff links was the BEST idea!
So thankful for this amazing seller who is quick (no joke), professional, and easy to work with.

Here is the full size pictures

My Maid of Honor as well as our Moms were all gifted a Tiffany knot bracelet.

Each card had the saying "thank you for helping us tie the knot".

We also gifted the parents of our mini wedding party as they are the ones spending money.
For Lonny's step sisters Brita & Liz they were gifted a bottle of wine each.
And my friend Dana was gifted these Tiffany knot earrings.

We were so blessed to have these people in our lives.
Each has helped us throughout our wedding planning and process so we wanted to show our appreciation.
I hope this post helps you if you're on the hunt for a good gift.
I really like choosing gifts with meaning or know it will be loved.
