Poor (wo)Man's Sushi...

I've been craving sushi a lot lately but good sushi is expensive.
And I don't like cheap sushi because generally they aren't that tasty.
Plus you don't want to mess around with cheap sashmi or you'll be regretting it later on.
Both Lonny and I are on a budget so sushi has become a treat for special occasions.
So you have to get creative on your cravings, this is my creation on a "Poor (wo)Man's Sushi".

I'll teach you how to make it.
*Think of this as 1 giant sushi rather than single sushi rolls*

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

1 cup cooked rice
2 teaspoon Rice Wine Vinegar seperated*optional
Mayonaise *optional (I do not like mayo on my rolls {think California Roll} so I did not use, but you can)
Shredded seaweed or a premade seaweed shake you can buy from most Asian markets
Tobiko (YUMMY!)

Scoop half of the cooked rice into a bowl or dish.
You will be adding the remainder rice to your bowl/dish so make sure you a tall enough dish.

*This part is optional varies from each persons taste.
1 teaspoon of Rice Wine Vinegar (I hate the smell of anything vinegar so I hold my breath) and pour into my bowl/dish of rice.
Mix up the rice with a spoon till the Rice Wine Vinegar is well coated.
Smooth & flatten out the rice with your spoon.

Take 1 teaspoon of mayonaise and smooth across your rice.
(I did not because I don't like mayo on my rice - blech. But some people do)

Shake and coat the top of your rice with your shredded seaweed or seaweed shake.

Spoon over some Tobiko and cover your seaweed shake.

In a seperate bowl add 1 teaspoon of Rice Wine Vinegar to the remainder rice and mix.
Then dump the rest onto your tobiko and smooth out.
*Add mayonaise and smooth out then add the rest of your tobiko to the top.

Finished!

When you cut into your Poor (wo)Man's Sushi it should look something like this.

I added some of this:
(Usually found in your Japanese markets)

Added some pickled cucumbers (also found in your Japanese markets) and Edamame.

Dinner is served!
