REVIEW: EOS Organic Lip Balm Smooth Spheres

I recently purchased EOS Organic Lip Balm Smooth Spheres in Summer Fruit & Honeysuckle Honeydew.

And I love them! These golfball sized yummy scented  little balls are uniquly packaged for a lip balm that it caught my eye. Way to go EOS marketers. You definitely intruigued me with your crafty packaging.

After watching GlossGoss' review on her September Favorites it was hard not to hunt these inexpensive little balls down. I first went directly to to EOS' website and did a search to see if I can find it locally rather than order it online. When you want to try something badly you want it now. Instant gratification! I need my "wanter" fixed. So I went to their link for where to buy and typed in my zip code. A long list of local locations poped up for me. Walgreens! Safeway! Rite Aid! YAY!!! So off my boyfriend and I went to hunt these little devils down. Long story short, these little balls of happiness are really hard to find. Plus I just gave up after going to Walgreens & Safeway. It was a hot day and I didn't want to be wasting gas any more (GAS IS NOT CHEAP!) than I had been.

After humming and hawing I asked my boyfriend if he would buy them for me. He said yes. HOORAY. I ordered my products via Drugstore.com on Saterday evening and they arrived today. So much for instant gratification.

Now - just a sidenote. This review is only after playing with them for a day. I was excited that I received them that I am jumping the gun and posting a review right away. Should my feelings change after a week I will post a follow up.

On with the review!
But pictures first...

PROS:
  • Not tested on animals
  • Inexpensive
  • Shea Butter & Vitamin E
  • Clear lip balm
  • Fruity scents. I got Honeysuckle Honeydew & Summer Fruit. YUMMY!
  • 95% organic 100% natural.
  • NO petrolatum and paraben free.

CONS:
    • So far just that it's a bit greasy on the lips so applying lipstick over it would not be recommended.
    • Also the Summer Fruit twist cap doesn't tighten as well as the Honeysuckle Honeydew one. It's a bit loose.

Purchase price for me was $3.99 each.
They are the size of a golf ball and have a twist off top cap.
When you open the application the size of the lip balm is pretty big.
You seem to get a lot of the lip balm and I think compared to a tube of Chapstick you do get more.
The scents of each reminds me of the Asian fruit candies I had growing up.
A light creamy fruity scent that isn't over powering or medicine like. It genuinely smells like a creamy fruit.
There is NO waxy smell or taste and even my dog was curious as what the fruity scent near my face was.
There is NO tingle to these lip balm.
They are more on the greasy side so wearing a lipstick over this product is not recommended.
They also come in a Sweet Mint scent but I'm not much of a mint fan.

So far I see these two products lasting me a long time. But I would re-purchase them in the future.
I love their packaging and the scent and product so far is pretty awesome.
The price is not bad either but hopefully I can find them locally rather than order online.
