E.L.F. Palettes

While browsing through Target's cosmetics I came across the E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face) line.
Now to be honest I didn't think much of this line at first.
I have never used their cosmetics before either.

But tonight something caught my eye while browsing through their little wall area.

The 4 pan eye shadow palettes for only $1.00.

ONE DOLLAR!

I ended up picking up two for now.

These are pretty much just like the MAC 4 pan palettes but better.

Why? Because it comes with an applicator & mirror...and it's cheaper.

In comparison to M.A.C. Quads - I can only tell you what the pre-filled quads are pretty much the same minus the mirror and applicator.

They are the same size all around.

I've been meaning to purchase a couple of MAC's 4 pans but haven't had a chance.

I believe the 4 pan MAC palettes are $5 for non card holders & $3 for PRO card holders. 

The cool thing is the E.L.F. compact has a magnetic base.

No need for extra magnets. 

The pans are 26mm - which I believe fit MAC, Urban Decay, Red Earth as well as E.L.F's own pan shadows.

(The dark brown eyeshadow is actually my brow powder)

The base magnet is pretty strong so your pan shadows aren't loose and won't fall out easily.

Also there is a little divet to easily remove your pan shadows.

For $1 you're getting a pretty awesome deal if you've got a ton of pan eyeshadow.

Also you don't have to just use this for eye shadow.

If you have a lipstick that's almost done - just purchase empty tin pans and scrape them into the tin then place inside the compact!

Presto! You have 4 shades on the go to choose from.

This would be a great idea for the "On-the-Go Girl" who doesn't want to lug around a bunch of cosmetics and just needs everything in one place.

The packaging is bit heavier than the MAC palette but that's because there is a mirror inside.

It's not unusually heavy but does weigh a tad more than the MAC one.

For me this is great because I travel often and don't want to carry a bunch of eye shadows.

Definitely will recommend these to my friends who are on a budget & don't have a MAC near by.
