MAC Mini Haul: Liberty Of London

Sooo I'm not going to lie...
I was attracted to the packaging!
If you remember the Baroque Boudoir called my name because of the packaging...
Well, the same has happened, AGAIN!
MAC you sneaky company, you got me, AGAIN!

I've been on a bird kick lately ever since I bought the bird print for my living room last year.

I kept my order small because there were a lot of re-promote colors I already have.

There was two DEFINITE things I wanted from this collection.

1. The medium make up bag - But it was SOLD OUT!
2. The beauty powder compact.

The medium bag was lovely but because it was sold out I purchased the small, which is just as lovely but smaller.

Side one.

Side two.

Detail of the bag.

I know some people find the design & birds hideous... I however find them fun & different.

Then I picked up a beauty powder.
The only reason why I never purchased a beauty powder from MAC before is because they matched my foundation powder compact.
And all the past special packaging beauty powders didn't catch my eye like this one does.
I like the way this one looks classic rather than a garish bold hot pink one like from the Heatherette collection.

In this collection there were TWO beauty powders to choose from.
Summer Rose - A purple pink sheer shade
Shell Pearl - A peach pink shimmery sheer shade

Since the swatch of Shell Pearl barely was visible on my skin tone, I opted for Summer Rose.

It gives me a healthy glow of light pink on my cheeks.

And last but not least 1 lipstick.
I really wanted Blooming but it was sold out.
My 2nd pick was:

The color is very bold & bright VS Blooming which is subtle & delicate.

How cute is the inside of the box?
I couldn't part with it but I have no idea what I'm going to do with an empty lipstick box.

I did a side by side swatch of Petals & Peacocks VS MAC's Damn Edna "Gladiola" lipstick and it's very similar.
Gladiola actually has more of a blueish cool tone to it but the shades are very close that you can't tell.
What does that mean? I probably didn't need this lipstick.
But I'm a sucker!
Yes, I admit it.
Seen a couple reviews where Petals & Peacocks is compared to MAC's Girl About Town lipstick.
Other than the bright hot pink I think they differ in that Petals & Peacocks is more of a cool tone and Girl About Town is warm.

I think this puts me at my max for bright, bold hot pink lipsticks.

Even the boxes they comes in is so adorable.
What can I do with these?

LOL I would have no problem doing that. Although, just remember you will be visiting me one day...soon! So you should save your money for your shopping trip to the states. :) I have no idea what I'm going to do with the boxes. It seems so stupid to keep it but at the same time it's so pretty. For now I'm keeping it till I get come to my senses and just chuck them cause it's useless. XOXO
