Ever since I was little and my Mom bought me my 1st nail varnish in a white opalescent shade, I have been addicted to it!
I wasn't allowed to wear darker colors until I was in my late teens.
Although I would sneak (or attempt to sneak cause let's face it, how do you hide your hands?) the red shades from my parents once in awhile.
I love nail polish!
I have more than I should but I do try to avoid getting similar shades.
And majority of my shades are all funky, bold, or bright.
Not until recently did I start buying more softer neutral tones.
Obviously when I go for interviews I remove the bold reds, funky blues or hot pinks & wear a neutral baby pink tone.
OPI recently came out with a Hong Kong Collection.
And all the colors are gorgeous but only two caught my eye.
The green shade (Jade Is The New Black) & blue shade (Suzi Says Feng Shui).
I had to choose one.
And I choose Suzi Says Feng Shui.
What a fun blue shade!
I don't have anything like this.
It's a creamy blue and goes on smoothly.
It took my usual two coats rather than 3 coats like some nail varnishes require.
Natural Light
With flash.
The true lasting power was put to the test yesterday as it was SPRING CLEANING!
I literally had my hands in all types of cleaning chemicals & imursed in water.
Final result: Nails looked like they were just painted and still in prime condition.
Maybe it's my top coat that kept it shiny & non chipped (Orly) but I am pretty pleased with this shade.

Funny thing is I just read an article in how OPI came about. It was fascinating. It was started by a guy who was making dental items and a lady used to come in and buy dental enamel for her clients fake tips. It went from there. He got his sister in law to come up with the colours and he came up with a better consistency for nail enamel and one that was safe and didnt cause allergic reactions...oh and that was legal to sell. I would love to work for OPI coming up with colours and names. What a fun job.
Nice colour by the way. You have perfect nails. I have ugly stumpy nails... Wanna swap? :)
@SOOZ!!! You are ridiculous! LOL I doubt you have ugly stumpy nails! You're a gorgeous woman and I doubt you have ugly nails. Silly lady! That is funny about how OPI came about. I seriously am drawn to funny names for products and have a bad habit of buying things because of how they are packaged or names. Every time I wear this polish I will think of you because of it's name! XOXO
