Lonny got me an early birthday gift, sorta.
I was talking about how I was bored with the shower room not being decorated.
I can't decide on the colors I want the shower room to be.
And then randomly yesterday I got a wild hair up my ass and figured out how it should be decorated.
We were looking at websites for ideas and he said he'd take me to go buy it, TODAY.
Today?
Yes! Today!
So we went and this is the the time line of my shower room.
2007
Building my home.
Picking out the hardware.
Same year but a couple months later...
2008
Home is complete and this was the final walk through to make sure everything is what I expected it to be.
I had to make sure the sink hardware, flooring, marble counter tops...ect was all what I had picked out pre-build.
Everything looked great!
This was actually broken when we did the final walk through.
But they quickly swapped the broken medicine cabinet for a new one while doing the walk thru.
Look, my empty walk in closet...it didn't last very long being empty!
Oct 1st after 2 1/2 years of waiting for my place to be built...it's complete.
The mountain of paper work I had to sign and waiting waiting waiting...
It was all mine!
Move in date Oct 10, 2008.
2009
Did absolutely nothing with the shower room for an entire year.
Placed all my energy, time, creativity, and funds toward getting the living room done.
Sold some old furniture and bought some new ones.
The bathroom colors remained the same as I had in my previous place - purple & brown.
2010
Well, here we go...
BEFORE:
AFTER:
Sink mats
Bath mat
With the vanity lights off.
I think the camera picks the yellow hue up a bit brighter than normal.
It's a warm yellow that has a hint of brightness but not as bold as this picture above states.
When I want to wipe my counter down all I have to do is lift the tray and place it some where else!
What a smart idea. :)

Your bathroom looks lovely. Its seems such a huge room when put together with the toilet room and vanity room. It looks massive.
@Suzy - I was just thinking the same thing when I was looking at the after pictures. It's actually not very wide but more so long. Not sure why it looks more roomier now that it's decorated. HAHA
VERY cute! Love those bath rugs. I loooove yellow, I've been wanting to decorate my bathroom with yellow and grey for a while. I'm going to try and do it this summer :)

@ Holly - Thanks! West Elm has some cute yellow & grey combos if you want to check out their website. :)
@ D - Thanks! I think my favorite is the shower curtain. LOL
