Bumble Bee Tuna

This morning I dragged myself to the shower room in hopes of waking myself up with a shower.

Instead I had a different type of awakening...

There are sunflowers, daisies and yellow roses in a vase Lonny bought me the 1st year I met him.

He worked late last night and didn't get home until 1:30am.

I was already fast asleep and snoring.

Immedietly I ran to the bed and gave him lots of hugs & kisses while thanking him for the sweet gesture.

He's not the type to buy me flowers often.

But it's not to say he never buys me flowers.

Generally I receive them on holidays or my birthday.

I do enjoy surprise flowers for no reason.

He tells me that he thought of me because the flowers were wrapped in a bumble bee plastic.

Which leads me to a cute story.

Instead of saying "I love you" we tell each other "Bumble Bee Tuna" or shorten it to BBT when texting.

What does it mean?

When I first met him we both hit it off REALLY well.

We had a lot of similar interests and one of them being the movie Ace Venture.

Right when we both said that was one of our top 5 favorite comedies we both said "Bumble Bee Tuna...your balls are showing".

And since I'm not very PDA-ish (public display of affection) we use code when we want to tell each other that we love them.

It's like our own little secret. 

For our 2 year anniversary he bought me an iTouch and engraved the back Bumble Bee Tuna.

A ring he purchased for my 30th birthday has BBT engraved on the inside of the ring.

So because he saw the plastic wrap with bee prints he decided to surprise me with it.

Definitely was wide awake after that and had a great work day!
