We celebrated my Mom's birthday in Monterey, CA.
It's one of our favorite places to celebrate anything or just a quick escape.
About a 35-40 min drive to the coast and got lucky with such gorgeous weather.
(usually it's cold and foggy)
We went to our favorite place to have clam chowder...
Both Lonny and I knew all we wanted was a bowl of clam chowder and an appetizer each.
I had the crab cakes and he had the grilled artichokes - which we shared. :)
Hands down the best clam chowder we've had thus far.
Which is why we keep going back and referring friends & family to this place.
Mom's birthday dessert - Brownies ala mode with fresh berries on the side.
And we all shared a creme brulee.
After lunch we popped into the Super Silver Store to hopefully buy presents for my Mom.
Sadly the store does not have a website and my Mom wouldn't allow us to buy her gift.
Instead she bought herself a little gift to herself - a filigree style silver ring.
She actually bought it before any of us could try and pay for it.
Sneaky Mom!
I did receive a present from Lonny...
Sea Mist Topaz pendants!
I love them and need to hunt down the perfect chains for them.
With our bellies full and sparkly jewels we headed down the coast to walk by the beach.
Poor Lonny is always squinting.
Always looses his sunglasses and has super sensitive eyes.
We also stopped in a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for some sweets.
It was such a perfect day for my Mom.
Glad she got to enjoy the sun on her birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMA!
