Ever since I was a kid I had a fascination with cameras. I would always ask my Dad if I could play with his camera or snap a picture. Over time he taught me how to take a proper photo - without cutting peoples heads off or lopsided! HAHA And eventually in my late 20's he gave me his manual 1970's-ish Nikon camera.
Over time, just like my Dad, I started collecting cameras. Canons and Nikons are my preference for photography. Though the camera I use for daily vlogging is a Panasonic DMX; I find it to be better at video/zooming rather than picture quality and color. And just like any iPhone addict I constantly reach for my phone to snap pictures and post on Instagram.
I figur why not add them to my quiet blog. Spruce it up with a variety of randomness.
Of course, if you're a follower of me on Instagram (alongcameaspydr) then some of these may be duplicates for you. On occasion when I'm feeling creative, I just may throw some random ones in from the weekend that were never posted.
I'm in no way a professional. I wish! I'm just an amateur who loves pushing a button to capture a moment.

Early morning trip to the
A trip to Target for a few household necessities.
Came across this parody on Fifty Shades of Grey series.
It's an actual cookbook. You can order it here for all you frisky readers!
Might make a good White Elephant gag gift.
Morning routine done and came home to attempt pancakes.
They turned out not too bad. Next time I'll add more water to the mix. These came out a little too thick.
Got to use our new Cuisinart Hand Mixer we received as a wedding gift!
Spent the next 4 hours tackling my Ikea Hemnes chest with Lonny.
First hour - Argue with husband over his patience level.
My motto: Less gripe and more action. We can't cry over spilt milk. Clean it up and move on.
He has no patience for putting together furniture let alone Ikea furniture.
In my defense I didn't ask him to put it together. Only help me when I needed another set of hands.
In my defense I didn't ask him to put it together. Only help me when I needed another set of hands.
Second hour - Disassemble because we put it together backwards.
Third hour - Almost there. We can see the light toward the end of the tunnel!
Fourth hour - Revel we actually put together a Ikea furniture that is sturdy (we hope) and standing!
What a beaut!
SUNDAY
Sunday's are quality time with my parents.
Generally it's lunch and whatever then a neighborhood walk before I head home.
Sundays I would wake up to the house smelling of bacon & eggs, radio on the German station in the background and my Dad reading the Chinese newspaper.
This was majority of my childhood.
Fond memories of my parents just having a lazy day at home.
Now that I no longer live at home, I do know he keeps his Chinese newspaper ritual for Sunday mornings.
Caught me snapping a picture.
DimSum at a new favorite restaurant.
Delicious, juicy, steamed pork dumplings.
Maple tree is shedding in my parents garden.
Autumn is oh so nice!
Hope you all had a relaxing weekend!
- Charlotte
