Ulta Haul

Originally I stopped into Ulta on my way home for a baby pink colored nail polish.

I just wanted a creamy color. No sparkle, glitter, shimmer, opal or metallics.

Just plain & simple w/a hint of color.

Currently my stock of nail polishes are funky or bold colors.

Obviously not good colors to wear to an interview.

I didn't want to go with bare nails because they look horrible.

I know people are going to say they aren't going to be looking at my nails.

But to feel more confident and organized I like to have everything perfect.

I work & function better when things are organized and nothing on my mind.

What ended up as a mission to buy just a baby light pink nail polish...ended w/a mini haul.

Let's start with what my nails look like now.

O.P.I. Blue My Mind

I didn't want to spend a lot on another O.P.I. nail polish when I rarely wear light colors.

So I picked up an Ulta polish for $2.

While I was there I realized I needed black eyeliner.

Since I'm on a budget and shouldn't re-purchase my favorite Chanel eyeliner, I picked up an Ulta brand that is waterproof.

I like the fact that you don't have to sharpen it. It's automatic.

And it's waterproof.

I tested it on my hand and so far so good. I liked it.

In a cute jar next to the eyeliners were the lip liners.

And I remembered I was almost out of my Ulta Flesh lip liner.
I bought this color 2 years ago and didn't start using it until recently.

Lately it has been my main lip liner as it goes with almost all the shades I wear.

Also, again, I love how you don't need a sharpener for it.

It goes on creamy.

I repurchased Flesh and picked up a new color called Bloom.

I picked up Mystique

Then I decided with their current Revlon promo buy 2 get 1 free that I would try their lipstick.

Lipsticks prices are $6.99 each.

Nude Attitude (matte)

Came out more of a peachy tone on my skin.

Which is perfect as I've been LOVING the peachy / orange tones.

Pink Pout (matte)

And final color was a shiny luster shade called Caramel Glace.

I wore this today and the color is gorgeous!

It's more of a sheer color than that brown swatch.

It's really pretty with a pink lip gloss over the center of the lips too.

Sooo my thoughts on Revlon lipsticks?

It's been a long time since I purchased a from this company.

I remember as a teenager (early 90's) when they had this heavily scent & taste of wax.

It was horrid.

But it seems they have made a couple changes.

The two matte colors I purchased do dry my lips out still, but surprisingly not as bad.

I don't know if it's because I've been using Korres lip butters (OMG I LOVE THIS!) pre lipstick.

Or maybe Revlon did change their formula so it's not as drying.

But these lipsticks did not give off a scent or taste of too much wax.

Which left me a happy customer and the colors are gorgeous.
