Over the weekend I made myself a little menu of dishes I would cook this week.
I went through my food magazines, blogs, and cook books.
It must be a week of 1sts for me because yesterday I made my 1st dish found in my Food Network magazine.
And being a long time admire of The Pioneer Woman food blog I decided to create my first dish.
Which one did I choose?
PASTA WITH PESTO CREAM SAUCE!
I have to admit... I wasn't a pesto fan for the longest time.
Odd because I adore fresh basil!
I blame it on the jarred or must have been bad restaurant pesto.
I can't remember who's pesto recipe I tried (Ina or Giada's) but after making it myself I am sold!
Pioneer Woman's pesto recipe is very close to the one I attempted (again, Ina or Giada - unsure who) a couple months ago so it was also another reason I made it tonight.
I love the website and the step by step crisp pictures.
This recipe was really easy & quick since everything was mixed in the food processor.
Look at the pretty colors!
