For the man who is turning 30...

Lonny turns 30 tomorrow, Feb 9th!

Since he's at work till midnight I can post this as he won't see it.

Awhile back he mentioned Adidas came out with a Star War's line.
Now for all you out there that are new, my boyfriend is a HUGE Star Wars fan.
Fan is an understatement... he's pretty much tattooed with a lot of Star Wars art work.
And has a whole garage full of Star Wars collectibles that he's trying to sell off.
Some are really valuable & collector items but he just hates clutter.

So when I was trying to get ideas for birthday presents it was either something Star War's or something for his recording studio.
And since studio equipment/programs are SUPER expensive - I had to opt for Star Wars.
Let me tell you...even if I had the money to buy studio gear for him I would be lost as I have no idea where to star unless he gave me a list!
The same goes for Star Wars - I've never fully seen any of the movies and fell asleep in TWO of them.
Don't get me wrong, they look amazing but I just can't get into them.

So anyways...
I ordered him two things from Adidas.
That thing in the background matches the same thing on his arm.

And a hoodie.

He's not really one for name brands unless it deals with Star Wars.
And if you can't tell he really likes the Dark Side.

For his cake...
I wanted to go all out and get him something like this.

But the places I went to get quotes from for a fondant cake were between $250-$300.
And to be honest, if I did have the funds & a job... I probably would do it.
It's his 30th birthday and I wanted him to have an awesome one!
I want to spoil him like he spoils me.
But sadly I couldn't part with that much money at this time.

Instead I came up with the idea of buying a chocolate chocolate (he loves chocolate only) cake and bought small figurine collectibles from Target of Star Wars characters to put on/around the cake.

The name says it all...he'll be pleased & in a food coma.

His 'cake toppers' about to get dunked in water to be washed.

The lady who wrote ON the cake kinda made it messy.
(SAD)

Oh well, it will more than likely be gone before the afternoon tomorrow.

And my card to him.

I didn't put the cake toppers on yet.
Their drying right now and around 11pm I'll stick them on top.
(I'll snap a picture)

Lonny works till midnight so it will be perfect timing for him when he comes home.
I plan on turning the lights out and lighting his cake for him right before he walks in the door.
I can't wait! I think this is more exciting than my own birthday...well, maybe not.

Aw happy birthday to Lonny! His tattoos are sweet! That cake looks good, too :) Love the gifts!

I feel the same about Star Wars, but I have seen them all I think, but only once. :)
