REVIEW: Korres Lip Butter

I have found my holy grail lip product that I have thrown out all other lip treatments I've had.
And let me tell you I had a lot!

Growing up I've tried all kinds of lip treatments to avoid chapped lips from Chapstick, Blistex, Nivea, Fresh Sugar, Neutrogena, Clinique, C.O. Bigelow & even my most recent EOS Lip Balms.

But to be honest none of them really kept my lips moisturized continually.

UNTIL..
I came across Korres Lip Butters!

Back in October I heard about this product and to be honest the idea of a product called "lip butter" threw me off.
I imagined how my lips felt after eating a fresh buttered corn on the cob...greasy!
And also because I had tons of other lip treatments I had I couldn't justify spending $9 on another disappointment.
Nothing too exciting therefore I didn't rush to the store to buy it right away.
Fast forward to Christmas shopping in December, I was in Sephora trying to see what deals they had going on for the holidays.
I passed by the Korres counter and decided to check out the brand & the lip butters.
Seven different flavors for the lip butters.
I touched the sample and it didn't feel too greasy or sticky.
Each one had a light scent.
It said you can use these on your lips & cheeks - kinda duo purpose.
And then I read what this product does NOT have in it: Petro-Chemcials, sulfates, parabens, and GMO
What it does have are shea butter which hydrates and softens the lips and rice bran wax which helps seal in the treatment for lasting hydration.
With this new info I decided to make my first Korres purchase.
At first I was just going to buy one at $9 - price went up $1.00 after the holidays.
But then I saw Sephora had a holiday deal - Buy 3 (Jasmine, Quince, and Pomegranate) for $19.99.
So I picked one up for me and one up for my Mom's stocking stuffer.

So from the middle of December to today, Feb 8th I have been using these little pot of delights none stop!
I even went as far as to throw away ALL other lip treatments/chapsticsk!
I had never done that before because...well, because no other companies product met my standards.

My lips don't feel dry.
The product isn't greasy, sticky or my imaginary version of "buttery"- it's just right.
My lips feel hydrated even if I don't use this product for a day.
I love the light scent of each of these - my favorite being Quince.

The only gripe I have is that I have to use my fingers to apply.
I wish the packaging came in a tube with an applicator.
But that's pretty much my only issue with this product.
Everything else is 5 stars all the way!

Jasmine
Not sure why they named it Jasmine as it smells NOTHING like a Jasmine flower.
It smells more like caramel or chocolate, some type of sweet confectioners candy.
The color is a light neutral pink shade but has no tint on my darker pigmented lips.

Quince
(My favorite)
I admit I have never smelled or seen a quince fruit.
I have heard of them but never been able to experience the taste or scent so I'm not sure if the product matches it's name.
But I love this hot pink shade and it does smell good.
It does leave a pinkish shade on my pigmented lips.

Pomegranate
Does smell like a creamy version of a pomegranate.
In fact all the scents have a creamy hint to it.
This one leaves a deeper coral shade tint to my lips.

I definitely will be purchasing more of this product in the future.
I know the price went up $1 after the holidays and unfortunately Sephora no longer has the 3 for $19.99.
But even $10 is worth it to me if I don't ever have to hunt for a lip product that keeps my lips from being gross & chapped.

Other scents it comes in are: Guava (clear), Mango, (sheer peach), Plum (sheer berry), and Wild Rose (sheer deep wine burgundy).

Definitely give this product a try if you come across it and let me know what you think.
