I'm sorry I never got to tell you what an AWESOME friend you were.

I found out today a friend of mine left this world.
He couldn't handle it and he decided this was a solution.
This breaks my heart as he was the sweetest and giving person I have met.
There aren't a lot of my friends that I can say that about - but Eddie definitely was a very honest & sweet.

I met him in 2007 when I was waiting for my home to be built.
He was my Warranty Rep as the condo's were being built & even after when I did walk through's of my home with him to make sure everything was up to par.
We became fast friends and I always noticed he had a happy aura and a GREAT laugh.
Within a month of meeting him he invited Lonny & I to his house for a Halloween bash he was throwing.
That's how we all became friends!
He had this very heavy hearty laugh that put a smile on my face.
He was always positive - even on a bad day he seemed to just put it aside.

I think we bonded because we both had miniature dogs - he had a Dachshund named Tuffy and I thought it was funny such a big guy would have a mini dog.
In fact the first time I met him he pulled out his cell phone to show me a picture of Tuffy.

His other job was a journalist/reporter for the Mixed Martial Art's scene.
He used to fight but a back injury kept him from advancing on.
But it didn't stop him from teaching and starting a womans self defense class.
He always talked about his other job which was his passion.

I hadn't talked to him for 2 months.
I wish I kept in touch more because he was genuinely a good friend.

You know how there are people out in the world that are good people but not all the time?
Well, that wasn't Eddie.
Eddie was one of those good people ALL the time and always smiling.
He didn't want to burden anyone with his troubles - so he kept it in.

He was such a happy guy and always positive.

All these questions swirled in my head wondering how he died.
Did he get in a car accident?
Did he have an accident while training? (he does mixed martial arts & womans self defense)
Did someone hurt him?
But sadly as that may be later on I found out the reason for his early death, I found out he took his own life.
And that just broke my heart so much more.

I know not all cases of depression are the same.
Eddie really hid his depression well.
He was such a happy GOOD person.
Always willing to help and had the best laugh.

You will be missed Eddie.
I'm sorry I never got to tell you what an AWESOME friend you were.

It's hard to believe he's gone and tragic how he died.

I'm so very sorry for the loss of your precious friend. He looked like a really amazing, sweet, kind person. It's very sad that he felt he couldn't be on this earth any longer.

Sorry for your loss.
