Hummingbird Feeder

Growing stronger (and faster) each day!

It's been a treat watching Mama Bird feed her babies.

The other day I had 4 hummingbirds fluttering around my patio and close enough to touch.

I love knowing there are little baby birds growing on my patio.

Each day is a treat seeing them grow more feathers, beaks get longer and eyes open wide.

On a side note...

My neighbor across from my patio bought a hummingbird feeder as well as a gallon of sugar water once she found out about the hummingbirds.

Excited I helped her find a good location to hang the feeder.

It sat there for a good week or two.

Last night on my way up to the condo I noticed a similar feeder by the recycle bin in the garage.

Odd.

First thoughts - Nah, can't be my neighbors feeder. Or maybe it was and someone took it down?

It was too late to go check so I waited till this morning.

Sure enough the feeder is missing from the tree.

I went back down to the recycling bin and noticed not only is the feeder there but so is the gallon of extra sugar water.

Even more weird.

Now I know it wasn't a stranger with an ill heart.

Instead I my neighbor decided she didn't want the feeder in the tree anymore.

Or she gave up.

She has always been strange so I guess it's not bizarre that she has done this.

(ok it is)

What a waste of money.

I don't want to take it and have her see it sitting on my patio so I'm on the hunt for a new feeder.

Each are really cute ideas.

Which ever one I decide I will need to get a stand for my patio vs hanging it from a tree.
